Tarah Gieger

Tarah Gieger is a Puerto Rican American female professional motocross racer. Born September 18, 1985 in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico,[1][2][3] where her parents own a surf shop,[4] Gieger began riding dirt bikes when she was 10 years old,[5] and racing professionally in 2003.[1][6]

Gieger won Loretta Lynn AMA Amateur National Motocross Championship titles in 2004, 2006, and 2007.[7] Also in 2007, she became the first female racer ever to compete in the Motocross des Nations.[3][6] In 2008, Gieger won the first women's supercross event at the X Games.[1][2][6]

As of March 2010, Gieger has joined the Troy Lee Design/Lucas Oil/Honda motocross racing team.[6]
